Xampp php ini not updating

A fix is available here: The migration completed successfully and the site is browse-able but when you try to log in you keep getting redirected back to the log-in page and the URL looks something like this: This is a common Word Press related issue and not a result of Backup Buddy backup or restore/import.It is easily fixable, though, and happens mainly because of some plugin or custom edit somewhere in Word Press causing Word Press to keep redirecting to a specific url for admin login.

The reason for this was that the EXTRACTED .htaccess file from the OLD server/site was causing the issue.

NOTE: This is NOT to be confused with the loopback ethernet device.

Web hosts often misunderstand the HTTP loopback as meaning the loopback device. If you cannot resolve this situation (such as the host being unwilling to unblock these) you a workaround is to enable the Word Press Alternate Cron setting in your file as a workaround.

Change the second line in that section from "Allow Override none" to Allow Override all. This link is a step in the right direction, although you also might have to set the Allow Override rules to "all" in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default.

Also, after making those changes make sure to restart Apache.

Some versions of XAMPP do not enable mod_rewrite by default (though it is compiled in Apache).
